This system offers the opportunity to distribute a number of public bicycles to citizens, in a simple and intuitive way. Parking cars in the cities is always more and more difficult. The system is born with the aim of suppling one answer to alternative mobility. Bike sharing wants to represent a serious alternative to private transport (car, motorcycle) as well as an instrument of strategic planning in terms of mobility.By using an electronic card, people can take a bicycle in a distributor in the country and deliver it back in every free distributor of the area. A data trasmission system supplies the exact real time situation of bikes on hire. People can collect the personal card from bike offices at a public office (e.g. Tourist Info Office or Town Hall). It is possible to take a bike placing the personal card in the distributor, the first bike available will be released and the hire period begins. During the hire period (the hiring) people can stop where they want: it is possible to park the bike in the usual racks locking it with the pad lock supplied.
