Diagnosis and monitoring of the evolution of the Alzheimer disease using infrared spectroscopy

Spanish research institutes seek companies in the diagnostic sector for further development and licensing

Abstract
Three public research organisations and a hospital from Spain have developed a method for the early diagnosis of the Alzheimer disease and for the determination of the degree of the cognitive impairment of the patient, by the analysis by infrared spectroscopy of peripheral blood samples of leukocytes. Clinical diagnosis companies interested in the development and licensing of this technology are sought.
